- تعد ظاهرة الفشل المالي من الظواهر التي تستوجب التوقف امامها والبحث في اسبابها لأنها اصبحت تلقي بنتائجها على كافة الاطراف الداخلية والخارجية المستفيدة من التقارير المالية وبازدياد حالتي الأعسار والأفلاس التي تواجه الشركات والاسباب التي أدت الى الفشل المالي ازداد الاهتمام بوضع نماذج وأساليب تحليلية تساعد في الكشف والتنبؤ المبكر عن هذه الظاهرة التي بدات بالأزدياد في السنوات الاخيرة والتي تعبر اما عن سوء الادارة المالية او وجود مشاكل تشغيلية وهيكلية لم تتخذ التدابير اللازمة لمعالجتها في حينها، ولاهمية الدور الذي تلعبه المصارف العراقية الخاصة في تمويل قطاع الاعمال وتشجيع الاستثمار وتقديم مختلف الخدمات، يهتم هذا البحث في معرفة الفشل المالي واساليب التنبؤ به في اطاره النظري، ومن ثم التنبؤ بالفشل المالي الذي قد تتعرض لها المصارف العراقية الخاصة باستعمال انموذج (Sherrod) في جانبه التطبيقي، عليه شمل البحث ثلاثة مباحث:
