Pengembangan Modul IPA Interaktif Berbasis Guided Discovery Learning Materi Sistem Ekskresi pada Manusia Kelas VIII SMP Darul Fikr Andong

  • Abstract: This study aims to determine the characteristics, feasibility, practicality and results of trials using interactive science modules based on guided discovery learning excretion system material in class VIII humans at SMP Darul Fikr Andong. This research is a research and development (R&D) type of research adapted from Borg & Gall. The research instrument used was a four-point Likert scale questionnaire, pre-test and post-test questions, as well as documentation. The results showed that the characteristics of the module, namely in the preparation of the module were adjusted to the steps of the guided discovery learning model, besides that the discussion activities also included a teacher's comment column which could be used to write down the teacher's suggestions and comments on the results of the discussions that had been carried out. The feasibility of the module is known based on expert judgment and a percentage of 88% is obtained, including the "Very Eligible" category. The practicality of the module is known based on the assessment given by the science teacher and limited trial class students. The practicality percentage of the module based on the science teacher's assessment was 91.41%, including the "Very Practical" category, and the percentage of student assessments was 90.4%, including the "Very Practical" category. The results of the trial use of the module were reviewed based on student learning outcomes and obtained an average N-gain score of students who used the module of 0.72 in the "High" category, while the average N-gain score of students who did not use the module was 0.51 in the "Moderate" category.Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui karakteristik, kelayakan, kepraktisan dan hasil uji coba penggunaan modul IPA interaktif berbasis guided discovery learning materi sistem ekskresi pada manusia kelas VIII SMP Darul Fikr Andong. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian research and development (R&D) mengadaptasi dari Borg & Gall. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan berupa angket skala Likert empat poin, soal pre-test dan post-test, serta dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa karakteristik modul, yaitu dalam penyusunan modul disesuaikan dengan langkah-langkah model guided discovery learning, selain itu pada kegiatan diskusi juga dimuat kolom komentar guru yang dapat digunakan untuk menuliskan saran dan komentar guru terhadap hasil diskusi yang telah dilakukan. Kelayakan modul diketahui berdasarkan penilaian ahli dan diperoleh persentase sebesar 88%, termasuk kategori “Sangat Layak”. Kepraktisan modul diketahui berdasarkan penilaian yang diberikan oleh guru IPA dan siswa kelas uji coba terbatas. Persentase kepraktisan modul berdasarkan penilaian guru IPA sebesar 91,41%, termasuk kategori “Sangat Praktis”, dan persentase penilaian siswa sebesar 90,4%, termasuk kategori “Sangat Praktis”. Hasil uji coba penggunaan modul ditinjau berdasarkan hasil belajar siswa dan diperoleh rata-rata N-gain score siswa yang menggunakan modul sebesar 0,72 dengan kategori “Tinggi”, sedangkan rata-rata N-gain score siswa yang tidak menggunakan modul sebesar 0,51 dengan kategori “Sedang”.
