Pd Keyword: Speaking skill, Vocabulary, Market Technique Speaking is an important skill in learning a second language or a foreign language. There are many techniques in teaching speaking. One of them is teaching by using Market technique. This technique includes drilling method and cooperative learning. This technique supposed to be practiced by the teacher in order the students’ speaking skill is better. Research problem of this research was: Is there any significance difference on students’ speaking skill before and after being taught by using Market Technique? The purpose of this research was intended to find out if there is any significant difference on students’ achievement in speaking skill before and after being taught by using Market Technique. The design of this research was experimental using One-Group Pretest and Posttest. The population was the students of seventh grade at SMPN 04 Tulungagung. The Sample choosed purposively and it was seventh grade of E class student consist of 38 students. The instrument used to collect data. The tests were pretest and posttest. Meanwhile the data were analyzed statistically by using T-test. The finding showed that the score of speaking before being taught by using Market Technique is low, because the mean of 38 students is 63.26. After getting treatment the mean of student achievement was 70.11. It means the students score is high. The student achievement was getting better based on T-test analysis used by the researcher. And result of the score Tcount compared with Ttable gotten was use SPSS 16.0. Tcount 12.357 and Ttable 1.686. we know that tcount was bigger than Ttable (Tcount > Ttable) = (12.357 > 1.686). Therefore, based on the hypothesis testing, the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted and the null hypothesis (Ho) is rejected. Finally, it can be concluded that Market Technique is effective used in teaching speaking for seventh grade students at SMPN 04 Tulungagung
