Tujuan penciptaan karya tari Limit ini adalah menyampaikan kisah dampak-dampak yang dialami oleh berbagai kalangan akibat dari Wabah Virus COVID-19 yang melanda Indonesia, dan bagaimana dampak kepada masyarakat mengenai penerapan Pembatasan Sosial Berskala Besar (PSBB) yang merupakan upaya Pemerintah untuk memutus rantai penyebaran Virus COVID-19 kedalam sebuah karya tari inovatif, selain untuk menyampaikan kisah dan juga pesan moral, karya tari ini juga diperuntukan guna memenuhi syarat ujian strata satu prodi Pendidikan Tari Univesitas Negeri Jakarta. Karya Tari ini berjudul “Limit” Arti Judul Limit dalam karya tari ini untuk menggambarkan karya tentang Dampak pembatasan yang diterapkan oleh pemerintah atau disebut pembatasan sosial berskala besar (PSBB) di DKI Jakarta. Proses penciptaan karya tari koreografer mengacu kepada metode penciptaan Alma M. Hawkins dari bukunya yang berjudul “ Bergerak Menurut Kata Hati” yang telah diterjemahkan oleh I Wayan Dibia, metode yang dipakai dari buku itu adalah metode 5M dan 1P yaitu mengungkapkan/mengalami, melihat, merasakan, mengkhayalkan, mengejawantahkan, dan pembentukan. Karya tari “Limit” didalamnya memiliki beberapa konflik, dan ada puncak konflik dalam alur ceritanya, sehingga dapat dikategorikan sebagai dramatik kerucut ganda yang terdiri dari 6 bagian. Penari dalam karya tari ini hanya satu orang yaitu pencipta karya tari, koreografer. Gerakan yang digunakan dalam karya tari ini berpijak kepada gerakan sehari-sehari yangt lah dikembangkan.

Abstract 


The purpose of creating Limit dance work is to tell the story of the impacts experienced by various groups as a result of the COVID-19 Virus Outbreak that struck Indonesia, and how the impact on the community regarding the application of Large-Scale Social Restrictions (PSBB) which is the Government's attempt to break the chain of distribution The COVID-19 virus into an innovative dance work, in addition to telling stories and also moral messages, this dance work is also intended to qualify for bachelor degree essay of Dance Education at the State University of Jakarta. This dance work is titled "Limit" The Meaning of the Limit Title in this dance work to describe the work on the Impact of restrictions imposed by the government or called large-scale social restrictions (PSBB) in DKI Jakarta. The process of creating choreographed dance works refers to Alma M. Hawkins' creation method from his book entitled "BergerakMenurut Kata Hati" which has been translated by I WayanDibia, the method used from that book is the 5M and 1P methods, which is expressing / experiencing, seeing, feeling , imagining, manifesting, and forming. "Limit" dance creation in it has several conflicts, and there is a peak of conflict in the plot, so that it can be categorized as a dramatic double cone consisting of 6 parts. There are only one dancer in this dance work, the creator of the dance , the choreographer. The movements used in this dance work are based of the daily movements that have been developed.
