- Abstrak Arketipe adalah model atau pola yang mula-mula, berdasarkan pola asal ini dibentuk atau dikembangkan hal yang baru. Kajian ini membahas tentang arketipe –arketipe karakter terdapat dalam antologi cerita rakyat Aceh yang berjudul “Manusia Bersarung Kodok”. Penelitian ini bersifat deskriptif kualitatif dengan menggunakan teori arketipe yang dikemukakan oleh Carl Jung. Teknik yang digunakan dalam kajian arketipe ini adalah teknik catat dan pustaka. Dari hasil kajian yang dilakukan ada 5 (lima) jenis arketipe karakter. Kata kunci: Arketipe, Cerita Rakyat Abstract The archetype is initially a model or pattern, based on the original pattern is formed or developed to be a new thing. This study discusses character archetypes that exist in the anthology of Aceh folklore “Manusia Bersarung Kodok”. This research is descriptive qualitative using archetypes theory proposed by Carl Jung. The technique used in the study is the technique of noting and reference. From the results of studies conducted there are 5 (five) types of the most common Characters archetypes. Keywords: Archetype, Folklore
