- The aim of this study was to analyze the face validity and the content validity of the English Final Examination Instrument Design by Teacher at the First Grade students Islamic Senior High School Mahdaliyah Jambi. This research is qualitative research. The data of the Research are the analysis of face validity and content validity of the test. The data sources of this research are taken from the test sheet used test instrument of Islamic Senior High School Mahdaliyah Jambi. From the finding of this research, the face validity of the test is unfair. It is because the test only fulfills 6 criteria from 15 criteria of face validity. It means that in term of face validity the test only cover 40% of the criteria of face validit.This percentage obviously falls into the level 40-50% which means less good. Then, in term of content validity of test sheet from 30 items that have been tested, 20 items among have been declared as valid items whereas 10 items are an invalid items. So, the English final examination intrument designed by teacher at the first grade students islamic senior high school mahdaliyah jambi is considered as invalid test because having the unfair face validity and the bad content validity.
