  • The purpose of this study was to determine the increase in student learning outcomes through the application of discovery learning methods in SKI subjects in Madrasah Tsanawiyah Al-Hidayah, Jambi City. The method used in this research is classroom action research, which is conducted in 3 (three) cycles. While the data collection techniques used are observation and test, which have been collected and then processed with analysis, qualitative, and quantitative. In line with the increase in student learning outcomes, the application of discovery learning methods in improving student learning outcomes in class VII Madrasah Tsanawiyah Al-Hidayah Jambi City in the first cycle obtained an average percentage in the medium. In the second cycle, the students' critical thinking skills were obtained in an average . In the third cycle obtained the ability of student learning outcomes obtained an average percentage of students' learning outcomes in the very high. So that the application of Discovery learning methods can improve the ability of student learning outcomes in class VII Madrasah Tsanawiyah Al-Hidayah Jambi City.
