THE EFFECT OF APPLYING QUESTION-ANSWER RELATIONSHIP (QAR) STRATEGY IN TEACHING READING COMPREHENSION OF THE ELEVENTH GRADE STUDENTS AT MADRASAH ALIYAH AS’AD KOTA JAMBI

  • The result of this research shows that there was a significant effect in students’ reading comprehension after they taught by using QAR strategy. It can be seen from the difference between students’ mean scores of pre-test and post-test in experimental class which improve from 57,92 to 69,62. The other result shows that there was a significant difference between experimental class and control class. The difference was the result of mean scores of post-test from both classes. Post-test in control class was 61,97, while post-test in experimental class was 69,62 higher than control class. It can be concluded that QAR strategy can be applied to improve students’ reading comprehension.
