  • The method of this research is quantitative research .The design of the research is pre-experimental.The sample of this research was 16 students at eight grade of MTs GUPPI Jambi. The result of the research showed that the mean of post-test score (67.5) was higher than the mean of pre-test score (52). It can be concluded that Ho was accepted. It means there was significant effect of students„ speaking skill after giving treatment. Next, the researcher had computed that the t-value is lower than t-table that is -2.261 < -2.145. Therefore, the hypothesis is accepted. It means, there was significant effect of speaking skill after of using Talking Stick. The result of independent sample T test was 2-tailed<0,05 0.031<0.05 it is mean there is significant difference between the students who were taught by using Talking Stick and those who were not.
