- The Industrial Revolution Era 4.0 opened up vast opportunities for anyone to advance, but on the other hand it also provided challenges for the millennial generation. Finding the magnitude influence of globalization on human life, especially for the Indonesian people, both positive and negative influences in the current era, it is necessary to have a deterrent and preventive power of a good society especially for millennial generation. Character education is an important aspect for the next generation, because one is not enough to only be equipped with learning provisions to enrich the intellectual realm, but also must be enriched in terms of moral and spiritual. This research is included as a type of literature studycategory. Finding and analyzing theoretical references relevant to the problem, namely character education and millennial generation in the industrial revolution 4.0 era.Through literature studies, it is found the importance of developing character education in Higher Education and as a reference in facing the challenges of the times.
