- Teachers are very dominant determinant in education in general, because the teacher plays an important role in the learning process. (Sarumaha, 2012). Teacher performance appraisal system is a scoring system designed to identify the teacher's ability to carry out its duties through the measurement of competence demonstrated mastery in their performance (Triayudi & Nazori AZ, 2012). In assessing performance against a teacher at SMK Al Hikma teluknaga today generally do not have standards and standard procedures (Artika, 2013), sometimes the teacher performance appraisal process is subjective (Sarumaha, 2012), and the lack of teacher performance appraisal report. Fuzzy logic is a method used to describe uncertainty by mapping the input into the output space, this method has the advantages of (Khan, Amin, and Rehma, 2011), namely fuzzy logic is easy to understand, very flexible, and have tolerance for incorrect data. In this study will apply fuzzy logic to teacher performance appraisal system, which aims to teacher performance appraisal system standards and standardized procedures in order to be more objective assessment process not only see one parameter only, and provide reports and information about the performance of the teachers. The results achieved in this study that by applying fuzzy logic on teacher performance appraisal system, then the teacher performance appraisal system has a standard and a standard procedure, in accordance with the needs of the SMK AL Hikma, the process becomes more objective assessment, and provide a report on the assessment of teacher performance, so that information about the score or the exact value of the performance of the teachers can be available.
