- This study aims at identifying and to analyzing what types of Illocutionary acts are performed by Donald Trump's in his Speeches and why did Donald‟s Trump perform illocutionary acts views from the context of the situation underlying the speeches. This study uses the theory of speech acts by John Roger Searle (2005) method . The research data are two speeches delivered by Donald Trump entitled Joint Address to Congress in the forum on September 19, 2017, and the second entitle Threatening to 'Totally Destroy' North Korea on September 19. 2017. The results show that the most dominant Illocutionary Act type in Donald Trump‟s speech is representative sentence and directive. Representative sentences are often used trump in both speeches, about the threat to northern Korea and the invitation to join the Congress show the firmness and invitations voluntarily to each audience. The use of a directive sentence indicates its firmness in leading America will be an attraction to its audience. The use of appropriate sentences in the context of speech contents is expected to influence people's decisions in supporting trump during their presidency.
