- This study is aimed to analyze the students speaking skill, the materials and the CLT method in using games and pictures in the eight grade of SMP PGRI 363 Pondok Petir Bojongsari in class VII A. The result of the study shows that there was an improvement of the student’s speaking skill with communicative activities and the students enjoy studying English using games and picture through CLT method because the method can make them active to produce the language, through the games and pictures can keep the students interested in learning. Related to the result of the research described and analyzed based on qualitative of the observation, interview, and questioner, the research shows that Communicative Language Teaching (CLT) was effective can improve the student’s speaking skill in communicating using games and pictures activities.
