- THE LEVEL OF KNOWLEDGE, A WAY OF STORAGE, PROCESSING AND LEVELS OF IODIZED SALT CONSUMPTION AT HOUSEHOLD LEVEL THE VILLAGE BRINGKIT, DISTRICT MARGA, TABANAN REGENCY ABSTRACT Iodized salt is iodine-enriched salt that the body needs for growth and intelligence. The result of riskesdas in 2013 showed that the percentage of households consuming iodine containing enough salt was 77.1%, containing less idodium 14.8%, and no 8.1% iodine. The coverage of households consuming iodised salt in Tabanan Regency in 2016 is 70%, an increase compared to 2015 year of 67.67%. The type of research used is observasional with cross sectional design, this research variable is knowledge of iodized salt, storage method, processing method, iodized salt consumption level, and availability of iodized salt. Data collection is done by making a questionnaire about the level of knowledge of the sample, how to store iodized salt, iodized salt processing, in the household. This method is done by interview method with questionnaire. The study was a housewife who had many toddlers who did not use iodized salt, mostly from samples using ordinary salt. More iodized salt storage methods are open than closed, and the way iodized salt is treated more when cooking than after cooking and food is cold. It is advisable that the health-care workers need to be informed of the importance of knowing the importance of consuming iodized salt, beyond the iodized salt giving a sense of food, the iodized salt is also important for brain intelligence, infant growth, less mumps.
