- KNOWLEDGE LEVEL OF DENTAL AND ORAL HYGIENE HEALTH AND THE OHI-S VALUE GRADE IV AND V STUDENTS OF SDN 1 SIBETAN KARANGASEM IN 2018 ABSTRACT Dental and oral health is very important for the body’s welfare and well-being in general and greatly affects the quality of life, including speech, mastication and self-esteem. Oral health disorders will have an impact on one’s performance. Maintenance of oral hygiene is one of the efforts to improve health. The purpose of this study was to determine the level of knowledge of students of class IV and V dental and oral hygiene and the OHI-S value at SDN 1 Sibetan Karangasem in 2018. This study is a descriptive study conducted. The total population of all students is 50 people. The result showed that of the 50 respondens, 23 people (46%) had a moderate level of knowledge, 42 people (84%) had a value of OHI-S was. The average number of children who have the knowledge level is 64,8. The average number of children that have a value of OHI-S was 2,16. The conclusions of this study is the student of grade IV dan V has an average knowledge level of 64,8 and the average OHI-S of 2,16. Keywords: Knowledge, OHI-S, Elementary School
