GAMBARAN PERILAKU HUBUNGAN SEKSUAL PADA BEACH BOYS TERHADAP RISIKO PENULARAN HIV/AIDS DI PANTAI KUTA

- Beach boy is defined as a male prostitute or “gigolo”. The interesting side of male prostitutes is they only serve foreign tourist. The appearance of behavioral beach boys certainly has potential in increasing the spreading of people living with HIV / AIDS at Kuta Beach. This study aims to describe sexual behavior of beach boys against the risk of HIV / AIDS transmission at Kuta Beach. Type of this research was descriptive with snowball approximation. A sampling technique was saturated sampling. The measuring instruments used questionnaires. The result showed that the reason of the beach boys in fulfilling the sexual urge which classified into a good knowledge as many as 34 people (85.0%) and less as many as 3 people (7.5%). Attitude categories classified into good as many as 31 people (77.5%) and there were not good as 2 people (5.0%). Action category was classified into poor as many as 16 people (40.0%) and good as many as 9 people (22.5%). Based on that study expectation for health workers, in order to improve health education and health screening for tourism workers, so that the risk of HIV / AIDS transmission can be prevented, and as well as for the beach boys were expected to avoid the negative sexual behavior to avoid the spreading of HIV / AIDS and sexual transmitted diseases (STDs).
