- DESCRIPTION OF KNOWLEDGE OF KARIOGENIC FOOD AND FIRST MOLAR DENTAL CARIES PERMANENT IN STUDENTS IV SDN 1 GIANYAR TAMPAKSIRING PEJENGYEAR 2018 ABSTRACT Dental health is an integral part of health in general. Dental and oral diseases greatly affect the degree of health, growth process and even the future of children. The biggest problem facing the Indonesian population as well as in other developing countries in the field of oral and dental health is tooth disease. The increasing tendency of dental caries is due to the knowledge of the changing dietary diet of increased consumption of sugary and sticky foods in teeth. This study aims to determine the description of the level of knowledge about cariogenic food and caries permanent first molars in fourth grade students at SDN 1 Pejeng Tampaksiring Gianyar Year 2018. This research is a descriptive study with survey design with a population of 58 people. The results of this study indicate that the highest number is students who have a level of knowledge about cariogenic foods with less categories (37.93%), average level of knowledge of students about cariogenic foods of 61.2, students who experience caries in permanent first molars 79,31%, permanent caries first molar with 36,2% caries, the mean of permanent first molars for student at 1.4.
