  • Abstract. Antenatal class is kind of a program where pregnant women can learned and share about pregnancy and become a good mother. This study aims to determine the influence of giving lecture method and leaflet for knowledge of pregnant women about prenatal care. The methods in this study was an pre-experimental one-group pretest-posttest design in time prospective. The study was held in 30 November until 14 December 2012. Data in this research collected by question in a questionnaire for 80 respondents. The results showed the differences in pre and post given lecture method and leaflet at all. There were significant differences in that intervention and its notice by Wilcoxon matched pairs test that showed p=0,01. I would highly recommend to all pregnant women if want to know about right information of prenatal care must be going to antenatal class. The researchers recommend the following research to be able to develop better methods and testing of the antenatal class implementation. Keywords : Antenatal class, Lecture method, Leaflet, Knowledge.
