- Description Of Nursing Care Elderly Gout arthritis with Knowlegde Deficit in The Work Area of UPT Kesmas Sukawati I Gianyar In 2018 ABSTRACT The elderly is a natural process followed by physical and behavioral changes. Disease that often suffered by elderly one of them gout arthritis, gout arthritis is a disorder or abnormality of purine metabolism, which is characterized by the increase of uric acid crystal deposits in the joints. The knowledge deficit is the absence or deficiency of cognitive information related to a particular topic or subject. The purpose of this study is to know the description of nursing care in elderly gout arthritis with knowledge deficit through nursing process approach in Work Area of UPT Kesmas Sukawati I with type of research used is descriptive with case study design. Data collection is done by interview, observation and documentation. The results of this study found 2 respondents who suffered from gout arthritis in Banjar Pamesan, Ketewel, Sukawati, Gianyar experienced a deficit of knowledge caused by the lack of information exposure. The nursing process that has been carried out to first patient has been achieved in accordance with the outcome criteria and second patient has not been achieved entirely due to the ability or knowledge possessed by each individual is different. This research is conducted in the hope that the performance of Public Health Center in providing services can be done optimally and comprehensively to the elderly and families who have gout arthritis. In addition it is also expected to improve the degree of health and still maintain a harmonious relationship to the community in the Work Area UPT Kesmas Sukawati I.
