- Every parent craves children who grow and develop optimally. One of the factors that influence growth and development is the quality of sleep because the ideal time for growth and development is when the baby is asleep. This study aims to determine the relationship between sleep duration and weight gain for three-month-old infants. This study uses a correlation analytic method with cross-sectional design, with a sample of 28 infants aged 3 months. Non-probability sampling technique with convenience sampling method conducted in April to May 2020. Bivariate test using the Spearman-Brown test. The results showed that the average sleep of infants aged three months for 12 hours in 24 hours (42.9), while the baby's body weight increased by an average of 600 grams (35.7). Spearman-Brown test results, received a significant value of p = 0,000 so that it can be concluded that there is a significant relationship between sleep duration and weight gain, so in this case it is necessary to convey information to parents of infants about the importance of the adequacy of baby's sleep needs for growth and development one of the babies in the physical development of the baby can be seen from the increase in baby's weight.
