Hygiene. Preventive Medicine</subject><description>Abstract. KIA book use as a strategic step in improving people’s independence in
the field of mothers and child health including family application in the nutrition and
stimulation a child’s development. By 38.30% of mothers who can demonstrate
KIA book during visit to Posyandu, by 7.90% mothers store the book at elsewhere,
by 23.10% declared KIA book is gone, and by 30.70% states have never had a
KIA book. This study aims to determine the behavior and education about the
content of the KIA book relationship with the toddlers nutritional status. Method in
this research by interviewing the mothers and then scale toddlers to determine children
nutritional status. Hypothesis testing is performed by test analysis using Pearson
Product Moment.
The results showed 81.50% of the samples had less education of the contents of the
KIA book, 88.90% of the samples had levels of activity were classified as active,
and 91.40% of infants had a good nutritional status.There is correlation between
mothers education of the content of the KIA book with the mother’s behavior of the
KIA book, but no significant and there is correlation between maternal behavior of
the KIA book with nutritional status of children, but no significant.
