  • Healthy behavior and parenting / feeding that is not good from the time children are born has an influence on their nutritional status. The results of the 2010 Riskesdas research show that these factors have a long-term impact on the incidence of short children. The purpose of this study was to determine the consumption patterns and nutritional status of children under five in day care centers in Karangasem Mandiri People. This type of research is observational research that is using a cross sectional design, and samples taken using the total population of children under five. The type of data collected is the sample identity data using the interview method using the identity form, consumption pattern data using the interview method using questionnaires, and nutritional status data using weight and measuring height using the stepping scales and microtoice, while the general description of the location data is obtained from written documents. Analysis of the data collected is presented in descriptive for each research variable based on the characteristics of the existing sample. The result showed a good energy intake of 14 sample (73.7%), good protein intake of 9 samples (47,4%) frequency of eating more or equal to 3 main meals a day many as 17 samples (85%) good nutritional status as many as 19 samples (95%), and 1 samples (5%)the rest are in poor nutritional status.
