  • Food consumption at school needs to be considered, one of the examples is the consumption of snacks. Food nutrient in snacks intake for students becomes one of the things that can affect their health condition. Snacking habits can worsen the students’ nutritional state and their healthy as well. Snacks that do not considered to the cleanliness in terms of preparation, processing and serving can cause diseases, one of them is diarrhea. Some factors that cause diarrhea in children are consuming unhealthy food, bad food hygiene, children's habits and snacks that are usually consumed at school. The type and design of this study including the type of research is descriptive with cross sectional design. The research subjects were randomly selected class V students (Random Sampling) who had the criteria listed as class V students of Elementary School Negeri 3 Banjar Jawa, Buleleng Regency, aged 10-12 years, and were willing to become research samples. Based on the calculation of the sample formula in this study, there were 39 people. This study shows that the percentage of the energy content with a good category is 76.9% and 23.1% for the less energy content category. While the protein content in the good category is 84.6% and the protein content in the less category is 15.4%. The results of potential problems with diarrhea that did not experienced the disease is 43.6% and samples that experienced diarrhea is 56.4%. Key terms: energy and protein, diarrhea problems
