- Lower back pain is a common complaint felt by pregnant women because of changes in the musculoskeletal system which results in the pelvic muscles not being able to sustain the weight of the uterus as the fetus grows. The purpose of this study was to determine differences in the intensity of low back pain in pregnant women before and after doing pregnancy exercises. This research is a literature review study using five international journals and five national journals. The results of identifying the journal found that lower back pain in pregnant women occurs in 20% up to 90% of pregnant women. Doing exercise or pregnancy exercises during pregnancy can reduce the intensity of pain in the lower back so it is recommended for pregnant women. It is expected that pregnant women pay more attention to their health and take part in programs launched by the government, such as taking classes for pregnant women.
