GAMBARAN TINGKAT KEBERSIHAN GIGI DAN MULUT SERTA KARIES GIGI PERMANEN SEBELUM DAN SESUDAH DIBERIKAN PELAYANAN ASUHAN KESEHATAN GIGI DAN MULUT MASYARAKAT PADA SISWA KELAS V SD (Studi Dilakukan Di SDN 14 Sesetan Kecamatan Denpasar Selatan Tahun 2019)

- Dental and oral hygiene is a condition that shows that the oral cavity of a person is free from dirt such as plaque and calculus. Dental caries is a dental tissue disease which is marked by tissue damage, starting from the surface of the tooth (pit, fissure, and interproximal area) and then extend toward the pulp. The aim of this research is to find out the level of the dental and oral hygiene and also permanent dental caries in 5th grade students at SDN 14 Sesetan South Denpasar 2019. This is a descriptive research which is use secondary data with 12 respondents. The results of this research before conducted care service shows that the level of the dental and oral hygiene of the students are aqual to 100% with good criteria. The average OHI-S is 0.76 with good criteria. There are 5 students (41,67%) that affected by permanent dental caries. The average rate of permanent dental caries is 0,91 in the very low category. After conducted the care service, the hygiene of the dental and oral of the students are in the level of 100%. The average of OHI-S is 0.27 with good criteria. There is one student who has dental caries (8,33%) with the average of the permanent dental caries about 0.08 with a berh low category. In conclusion, all students have OHI-S with good criteria and have permanent dental caries in a very low category.
