- Sanitation in public places must be a priority in its handling. That is because public places are places that have the potential to spread disease. The restaurant or canteen is one of the places visited by the general public and thus requires special attention in the field of sanitation. Health is a condition that includes physical, mental and social which does not only mean a state that is free from disease and disability. Health is also a state of health both physically, mentally, spiritually, and socially that allows every person who lives productively socially and economically. To realize the optimal health degree, various health efforts are implemented, one of which is food and beverage security. (Erin Rahmi Ramadani, dd 2017). Therefore, it is necessary to carry out supervision of canteen hygiene sanitation in 21 West Denpasar Mall area. This study uses a descriptive method that is to describe the actual situation occurring at the research location and the results of observing the location in the form of several aspects, namely: Location, clean water, waste disposal, toilets, latrines, trash bins, handwashing areas and observing food processing, serving and storage The food was then compared with the Decree of the Minister of Health of the Republic of Indonesia Nomo 1098 / MENKES / SKVII / 2003 concerning Hygiene Requirements for Restaurants and Restaurants Sanitation. From the results of research that has been done that the location of sanitation in 8 canteens in the area 21 Mall West Denpasar, sanitation facilities, food processing and food serving and storage are not eligible.
