  • Obesity is one of the nutrition problems in school-age children, one of which is influenced by food intake, namely the lack of consumption of vegetables and fruit. Consumption of vegetables and fruit is less than recommended, tends to be at risk of obesity. The level of nutritional knowledge that is lacking will affect the consumption of vegetables and fruits of school-age children. The purpose of this study was to determine the description of the incidence of obesity based on consumption of vegetables and fruit in elementary school children. This type of research uses literature review related to the topic the researcher is discussing. Subjects in library research are school children. How to collect libraries through three databases (Researchgate, Ejournal, and Eprint) that are sought from 2013-2019. Descriptive analysis method by processing data, describing data and summarizing data scientifically. Literature search obtained 4 libraries that match the inclusion criteria related to the topic discussed. Literature search results found the nutritional status of obesity in children one of which is influenced by low consumption of vegetables and fruit. The level of schoolchildren's knowledge of vegetables and fruits is in the medium category (55.6%). Consumption of vegetables and fruits of obese school children is mostly under the recommendation of less than 5 servings / day. There is a relationship between the level of knowledge and consumption of vegetables and fruit, children who have good knowledge and understand the importance of consuming vegetables and fruits will consciously consume vegetables and fruit. There is a link between obesity and vegetable and fruit consumption in school children. School children who consume less vegetables are at risk of obesity by 7x and samples that consume less fruit are at risk of obesity 13x. Consumption of vegetables and fruit less than 5 servings per day has a 3.94 risk of obesity. Keywords: Knowledge, Fruit Vegetables, School Children
