- Knowledge of Public Health Centers waste management is an important aspect in shaping the behavior of health workers in practice of sorting medical waste. The purpose of this study is to determine the relationship between the level of knowledge and attitudes of health workers with the action of sorting medical solid waste This type of research is observasional with cross sectional design. The population in this study is Medical employe totaling 41 people. The instruments used were attitude questionnaire, knowledge level questionnaire and action observation sheet. Data analysis was carried out univariately and bivariately, that is the Chi-square test with a 5% level of fitness. This study it can be seen that the knowledge of health workers towards sorting medical solid waste measures p value = 0.000, that the p value is smaller than the α value of 0.000 (p <0.05) While the attitude of health workers towards the sorting measures of solid waste medical value of p = 0.000, that p value is smaller than α value of 0.000 (p <0.05). So it can be concluded that there is a relationship between the level of knowledge and attitudes of health workers with the action of sorting solid medical waste.
