HUBUNGAN KONSUMSI ZINC DENGAN STUNTING DAN ANEMIA GIZI PADA SISWI SMP NEGERI 2 UBUD KABUPATEN GIANYAR

- THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN ZINC CONSUMPTION AND STUNTING AND NUTRITIONAL ANEMIA AMONG FEMALE STUDENTS AT SMP NEGERI 2 UBUD IN GIANYAR REGENCY ABSTRACT Women have the highest risk of anemia, especially in young women. Anemia is caused by the de fi ciency of various nutrients in the body because its interplay influences one another and can decrease the body's resistance, thereby increasing the risk of illness. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship of zinc consumption with stunting and nutritional anemia in adolescent girls in SMP Negeri 2 Ubud, Gianyar Regency. This study was an observational study with a cross-sectional approach at SMP Negeri 2 Ubud in January 2020. The population of this study was VII grade students and a sample of 83 people. Anthropometric data was obtained by measuring sample height using microtoise, zinc mineral consumption level data was obtained by interview method with 2x24 hour recall form, anemia data was obtained by measuring hemoglobin levels using the Easy Touch GcHb sample tool. Data were analyzed descriptively and analytically using chi square test. A total of 88.2% of the sample were not anemic, 96.5% had an adequate consumption of zinc, and 92.9% had a non-stunting nutritional status. The results of the analysis test showed there was no relationship between zinc consumption and stunting (p = 0.627), there was no relationship between stunting and nutritional anemia (p = 0.699).
