- The lack of public awareness at Dusun Mengwitani can be seen from the still dumping of garbage into the river in the Dusun Mengwitani. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between the level of knowledge and attitudes towards the behavior of PKK (Family Welfare) in waste management in Dusun Mengwitani. This research method is a descriptive study with cross sectional . The sampling technique in this study is simple random sampling. The data obtained were analyzed by statistics non parametric with test Spearman analysis so that the level of knowledge obtained had a significant effect on the behavior of PKK (Family Welfare) others with r value of = 0.844 and sign value = 0,000. The attitude has a significant effect on the behavior of PKK (Family Welfare) with r value = 0.871 and sign value = 0,000. The concluded is a significant relationship between the level of knowledge and attitudes towards the behavior of PKK (Family Welfare) in waste management in Dusun Mengwitani . It is expected that PKK (Family Welfare) in Dusun Mengwitani and the community, should always maintain environment by managing waste properly to avoid illness.
