- Abstract. Currently HIV/AIDS is growing, including in Indonesia, until September 2011 AIDS had reached 15.589 cases. Prevention efforts on high risk groups, especially female sex workers is to increase knowledge about HIV/AIDS. The purpose of this research was to determine there is a related of knowledge about HIV/AIDS with the adherence of male customer use condom in female sex workers with sample size of 60 respondents. This research is a cross sectional study that is analytical with the respondents were female sex workers. Results showed that most respondents had enough knowledge (46,7%) and had less knowledge (38,3%) about HIV/AIDS, good adherence toward condom use (36,7%), and has the action did not always use condoms (63,3%). The results Rank Spearman analysis showed that knowledge variables significantly strong associated with adherence use condom (p = 0,001) and (r= 0,710). According to the results of the research, the suggestions put forward in particular to the management tackling HIV/AIDS is improvement knowledge about HIV/AIDS and condom use effective and intensively so as to change the attitude and action for going better.
