ABSTRACT

Diabetes mellitus is a group of symptoms that arise in a person characterized by blood glucose levels that exceed normal (hyperglycemia) due to the body lacking insulin (Guyton & Hall, 2016). According to (WHO, 2015) the number of people with Diabetes Mellitus has increased to 422 million. Indonesia ranks 4th in the number of diabetes mellitus in the world. The purpose of this study is to describe nursing care type II diabetes mellitus with the risk of infection in the work area of UPT Kesmas 1 Gianyar. The type of research conducted was descriptive with a case study design with two patients. The method of collecting data was through interviews, observation and documentation carried out on 27-29 April 2019 in Banjar Babakan and Banjar Palak, Sukawati Village. The results of the study showed that patients had kept the cleanliness of their wounds marked by reduced pus. Mr. G the first visit, the condition of the wound was dry and the wound was dirty, during the last visit the wound had dried and the wound was clean. Mr. J at the first visit the condition of the wound appeared wet, there was a pus and the dressing looked dirty and wet, the last visit was that the wound was still wet, there were no pus and the dressing looked clean and dry. Expected advice is that patients always maintain health and hygiene of wounds and diligently control to health facilities.

ABSTRAK

Diabetes mellitus adalah sekumpulan gejala yang timbul pada seseorang ditandai dengan kadar glukosa darah yang melebihi normal (hiperglikemia) akibat tubuh kekurangan insulin (Guyton & Hall, 2016). Menurut (WHO, 2015) jumlah penderita Diabetes Melitus mengalami peningkatan menjadi 422 juta. Indonesia menempati urutan ke-4 angka kesakitan diabetes mellitus di dunia. Menurut (Profil Kesehatan Gianyar, 2017) DM menduduki peringkat enam besar enyakit terbanyak dengan 1.016 kasus. Tujuan dilakukan penelitian ini yaitu menggambarkan asuhan keperawatan Diabetes Melitus tipe II dengan resiko infeksi di wilayah kerja UPT Kesmas Sukawati 1 Gianyar. Jenis penelitian yang dilakukan yaitu deskriptif dengan rancangan studi kasus dengan dua pasien. Metode pengumpulan data dengan wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi yang dilakukan pada tanggal 27-29 April 2019 di Banjar Babakan dan Banjar Palak, Desa Sukawati. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan pasien sudah menjaga kebersihan luka ditandai dengan berkurangnya pus. Tn. G kunjungan pertama kondisi lukanya sudah mulai kering dan balutan luka tampak kotor, saat kunjungan terakhir kondisi luka sudah mulai kering dan balutan luka tampak bersih. Tn. J kunjungan pertama kondisi luka tampak basah, terdapat pus dan balutan tampak kotor dan basah, kunjungan terakhir kondisi luka masih basah, tidak terdapat pus dan balutan tampak bersih dan kering. Saran yang diharapkan yaitu pasien selalu menjaga kesehatan dan kebersihan luka serta rajin kontrol ke fasilitas kesehatan.
