- Oral health is fundamental part of general helath and the prosperous. Dental health or now more commonly known as oral hygiene is the prosperous of the oral cavity including the dentition and its supportive tissues fungtioning optimally. The purpose of this study is ti describe the level of knowledge about helath care and mouth before and after given counseling of studens fourth grade and fifth grade elementary school 3 Duda year 2019. This type of research is descriftive research designed with experimental design. The total study population is 30 people. Types of data collected are primary data sourced from the level of knowledge and secondary data sourced from the list of name of students of claas fourth grade and fifth grade. How to collect data by answering questions before and after given counseling. The result of the research shows that the level of knowledge before the highest extention is in enough category which is 17 people(56,67 %) while the level of knowledge after the highest counseling is found in very good category that is 23 people (76,67%). The average level of knowledge before the counseling amounted to 52,67 with less category while the average level of knowledge after the extension of 80,4 with very good category. The frequency conclusions of students before being given counseling were mostly lacking in knowledge and after being given counseling most had very good knowledge. The average level of knowledge increases from the less category to the very good category. Keywords : level of knowledge, dental and oral health, students
