- The physical condition of the elderly generally decreases and the health of the elderly is disrupted, including the health of their teeth and mouth. Some experts consider age as a risk factor for periodontal disease. The purpose of this study was to determine the description of periodontal disease in the elderly at the Sawan I Community Health Center Dental Poly. This study was a descriptive study, with observational design, which was conducted at the Sawan I Community Health Center Dental Clinic with a total sample of 34 people.The results of the study showed 34 people (100%) suffered from periodontal disease, the age group that had the most periodontal disease was 45-59 years as many as 23 people (67.65%). The percentage of people who experience periodontal disease abnormalities in the elderly in the dental clinic of Buleleng district health center 1 in 2019 are with bleeding condition of 8,82%, tartar condition as much as 38,24%,shallow pocket conditions 52,94% in deep pocket condition of 0,0% Keywords: periodontal disease, elderly
