  • THE DIFFERENCE STATUS OF OVERWEIGHT BASED ON CONSUMPTION OF FRUITS AND VEGETABLES AT STUDENTS OF SMK KESEHATAN BALI MEDIKA DENPASAR Currently Indonesia has multiple nutritional problems, it is less nutritional problems and more nutrition. Excess nutrients or Overweight in adolescents if it is not handled potentially have non-communicable diseases, such as heart disease, hypertension, and diabetes mellitus. Overweight is caused by an imbalance between incoming and outgoing of energy. Adolescents prefer to consume solid energy that has a sweet and high fat taste and less fiber foods from fruits and vegetables. Some researchhave shown an increased risk of Overweight people who are less of fruits and vegetables intake. The purpose of this research is to know the difference of Overweight status based on consumption of fruits and vegetables at students of SMK Kesehatan Bali Medika Denpasar. The type of this research was observational with cross sectional design. The sample are 61 students. Statistical test is using Independent t-test. The characteristics sample of students of SMK Kesehatan Bali MedikaDenpasarare 16-18 years, the average consumption of student fruit in a day as much as 137.3 grams / person / day and vegetable consumption an average of 192.9 grams / person / day. The quantity of students who consumed less fruit with Overweight status are 26 persons (66.7%) and for less vegetable consumption with Overweight status are 36 people (92.3%). There is no difference of Overweight status based on fruit consumption with p value> 0,005, while there is difference of Overweight status based on vegetable consumption with p value <0,005.
