- Introductions & Aims: According by regulition healthy minister Republic of Indonesia No. 007 at 2012 about registration traditional medicine declared, traditional medicine prohibited contain BKO similar as result isolation or synthetic nutritious medicine. The researchers wanted ti find out whether or not dexamethasone was present in the preparations of body-fat herbal medicines circulating in Indramayu.Method: The organoleptize test intended for observation of herbal medicine powder such as the explanation of smell & colour. The next Identification is using KLT Methode to see the existence of dexamethasone content in the herbal medicine.Result : In this research using the mobile phase of methanol: chloroform: acetic acid (4,6: 18,6: 0,6), the result of TLC formed purple stain spots when viewed on 254 nm UV light. Based on the results of the study, in sample I there were 2 spots in solution (b) with Rf 0,66 and 0,58, in solution (a) there were 2 spots with Rf 0,65 and 0,57 and solutions (c) had Rf 0,66. In sample II there were 2 spots in solution (b) with Rf 0,80 and 0,61, in solution (a) there were 2 spots with Rf 0,76 and 0,61 and solutions (c) had Rf 0,61. In sample III there is 1 spots in solution (b) with Rf 0,65, in solution (a) there is 1 speck with Rf 0,63 and solution (c) has Rf 0,65. In sample IV there was no solution (a), whereas in solution (b) there were 2 spots with Rf 0,81 dan 0,65, and solution (c) had Rf 0,65. In sample V there were 2 spots in solution (b) with Rf 0,78 and 0,63, in solution (a) there were 2 spots with Rf 0,76 and 0,62 and solutions (c) had Rf 0,63.Conclution : Based on the results of the research, the body fat compounding tablets which were examined in samples 1,2,3 and 5 positively contained medicinal chemicals while sample 4 did not contain medicinal chemicals.Keywords: Body Fat Herb, Dexamethasone, Thin Layer Chromatography, Medicinal Chemicals
