Willd) ininhibiting the growth of Staphylococcus aureus bacteria and the effect of increasedconcentration on inhibitory areas of growth of stphylococcus aureus bacteriaMethod:This antibacterial activity test used the hole print diffusion ethod white a sample ofchloroform fraction of white galangal (Alpinia galanga L. Willd) ethanol extractwhite concentrations of 50%, and 100%, negative control using chloroform andpositive control using amoxcillin injectionRresult :The result of the study showed that the chloroform fraction of white galangan ethanol(Alpinia galanga L. Willd) wit a concentrations of 50% and 100% had an averagediameter of the inhibitor area for a concentrasi 50% (0,76 cm) and 100% (0,91 cm).And for negative controls used chroloform has an average inhibiton area diameter(0,86 cm) positive coontrol using amoxicillin injektion has a mean inhibitor diameter(2,74 cm)Conclusions :Chloroform fractions of white galangal ethanol extract at a concentration of 100%has inhibitor of Staphylococcus aureus bacteria WHEREAS AT A CONCENtrationof 50% it has inhibitor of Staphylococcus aureus.keyword: white galangal (Alpinia galanga L.
