  • The purpose of this study was to analyze academic character, religious character, and discipline character in Madrasah in MTsN 2 Kota Kediri. this research uses qualitative by designing case study. The researcher acts as the main instrument (key instrument) in the data meeting. The results found that the boarding school program with islamic education as its foundation made character education more monitored because all school activities were scheduled and monitored 24 hours. Learning applications easier to implememnt. in addition, character education will be better and more effective. The implementation of character education does not only take place in in the dormitory, but also accurs between education in the hostel and acivities in the school.
