Eventhough reading is dominant in teaching-learning English, the result of the students' reading test is still low. This happens to be the case found at SMAN 1 Prambon. The students still have difficulties in comprehending the text. Moreover, the study in improving students' reading comprehension is needed. The objectiveof this study is to improve the student&#x2019;s reading comprehension through literature circles strategy. The subject of the study was the tenth grade of SMAN 1 Prambon, Nganjuk, in the academic year of 2019/2020. &#xD; This study is classroom action research which was conducted in one cycle since the criteria of success were reached. The procedures of the study consisted of planning, acting, observing, and reflecting. The researcher used observation and test as the instruments of the study for collecting the data. The data from the result of students&#x2019; reading test was analyzed using paired sample t-test. The criteria of success were expressed success (individually) in learning when the final grade minimum 75. Meanwhile, the students' achievement expressed success when the significant different of paired samples t-test on the students&#x2019; reading comprehension that are taught before and after using literature circles strategy is &#x2264; 0.05.&#xD; The findings showed that the students&#x2019; scores in reading comprehension test improved. The data proved that the significant different of paired samples t-test on the students&#x2019; reading comprehension that are taught before and after using literature circles strategy is 0.000. It can be concluded that literature circles strategy can improve the students&#x2019; reading comprehension in narrative text.
