- Autism is a complex development disorder that makes patients suffer from socializing, communicating, and experiencing repetitive and limited behaviors. Autism can be detected since a child is 18 months or even earlier. Children who suffer from autism need more care and attention than normal children in general. In Indonesia, autism is relatively unknown, so parents will usually too late to find out the symptoms, so the treatment is too late to be delivered. The patient's families usually hide it because they think autism is a disgrace or a shameful thing. In fact, many cases show that, autistic children also have great abilities or talents if accommodated and facilitated. Therefore, the role of architecture is needed to answer these problems. The Autism Center is designed with a phenomenological approach in accordance with the psychology and behavior of autistic children. The autism center is designed to accommodate autism sufferers not only in terms of therapy, but also facilities or the developmen program of talent and ability to survive or be independent in the future, be able to socialize with others, and no longer be underestimated by society. The rooms are created according to the psychological needs and behavior of autistic patients.
