Analisis Sebab dan Akibat Pembayaran Bersyarat: Perspektif Subkontraktor
Daftar Isi:
- Activities on a construction project are so large that often the main contractors hand over certain jobs to subcontractors who specialize in their fields. Subcontracting is a common practice in the construction industry today. However, there are often problems with payment to subcontractors caused by late payments to the main contractor from the project owner. This is a risk that subcontractors must bear because often the payment deadline has passed its time. This practice is known as the conditional payment name that is included into the subcontracting clause. This study aims to look for the causes and impacts caused by the practice of conditional payments. Literature sources indicate that there are 22 causal factors and four effects caused by conditional payments. Based on the results of the questionnaire distribution to subcontractors, it was found that the subcontractor's factor agreed to conditional payment clauses, the subcontractor's desire to maintain long-term employment relationships and the tendency of subcontractors / suppliers to avoid disputes being the main factors causing conditional payments. Factors with inaccuracies in estimated costs by the main contractor and project owners who refuse to make payments are the four factors that contribute to the impact of conditional payments, namely cash flow disruptions, declining performance, inter-party disputes and bankruptcy.
