  • Job satisfaction is one of the components of self-actualization, the highest stage in motivation theory of Abraham Maslow. A research finds that job security is one of the most important factors of job satisfaction. This research uses qualitative method to measure the job satisfaction rate in indonesia by utilising questionnaires. The questionnaire is structured to accomodate respondents to assess three areas: (i) basic internal control policy, (ii) features in whistleblower system, and (iii) future development of whistleblower system. The research shows that employees’ job satisfaction towards: (i) internal control: 40.84%; (ii) whistleblower feature: 44.72%; and (iii) whistleblower development: 63.33%. At the point of recommendation, the companies can reinvent their whistleblower system with two considerations: (1) nature of business line and (2) management culture and principle of the organizations
