  • The form of domination, according to social science, is esteemed to have a great influence on social structure. This opinion is supported by Karl Marx and Max Weber when they notice the various existence of domination in modern society as it is embodied in bureaucracy system, market law, assertive culture, technology and science, ideology, and even philosophy. This thought raises a special way of thinking called Frankfurt School. The meaning of domination, in critical theory perspective, is a power outside human body that is very influential in controlling all of human activities, behaviors, and ways of thinking. At the same time men accept it willingly and they are ignorant of the fact. The meaning of domination and its way out proposed by critical analysis perspective can be very helpful for Indonesian society to sharpen its norms of humanism. So that it becomes more dynamic and as far as this nation development leads to industrialization, this country cannot neglect the analysis of this Critical Theory.
