  • This study aims to determine whether the use of cooperative learning model group investigation IPS can improve learning outcomes, motivation to learn, and creativity of students in the fourth grade students of SD Negeri Wirotaman, District Kutoarjo, Purworejo in academic year 2015/2016. This study uses a Classroom Action Research by following the procedure that was developed by Stephen Kemmis and Robin Mc. Taggart. This study was conducted in two cycles, each cycle includes planning activities, action observations and reflection Subjects in this study were students in the fourth grade primary school Wirotaman, District Kutoarjo, Purworejo academic year 2015/2016 totaling 29 students. Data collection techniques used are tests, questionnaires, observation and documentation. While the instrument used is the test. Data were analyzed using descriptive percentages. The results showed that the use of cooperative learning model group investigation in social studies learning, to improve learning outcomes, motivation to learn, and creativity Elementary School fourth grade students Wirotaman, District Kutoarjo, Purworejo academic year 2015/2016. It is shown by an increase in the average value of student learning outcomes, ie from pre-cycle is 64.31 with the percentage of 48.28% completeness including low criteria. After the first cycle of action IPS student learning outcomes increased to 70.69 with the percentage of 61.51% completeness including the criteria for being. Then after the second cycle of increased student learning outcomes IPS again with a 80.17 percentage reached 86.20% completeness including very high criteria. Motivation to learn pre cycles that fall into the category of a minimum height of only 27.6% of students, the first cycle of students learning motivation in the category of a high minimum of 55.1%, and the second cycle students learning motivation in the category of a high minimum of 75, 8% of students. The level of creativity of the students at the pre-cycle the number of students who fall into the category of creative amounted to only 17.20%, in the first cycle the number of students who fall into the category of creative amounted to 51,72%, and the second cycle the number of students who fall into the category of creative amounted to 82,76%.
