- This study aims to describe the implementation of thematic learning model by a low-grade teacher a cluster of Sultan Agung, District Kutoarjo, Purworejo in the academic year 2015/2016 include planning, implementation, assessment, and barriers experienced by low-grade teacher. This research is a qualitative descriptive study. Subjects consisted of a low-grade teacher Force Sultan Agung, District Kutoarjo, Purworejo. Data collection techniques used were observation, interviews, and documentation. Data were analyzed using measures of data reduction, data display, and conclusion. The results showed that the planning phase of learning, not all low-grade teachers use thematic RPP models. During the implementation phase largely not using thematic learning model, visible in the delivery of the material still looks fragmentary. However, some are already using thematic learning model. At this stage of the assessment, not the model of thematic evaluation. Assessment of learning outcomes implemented by all teachers is a form of written test which was carried out separately per subject. The obstacles encountered by teachers is lack of socialization of thematic learning and the lack of props to support the implementation of thematic learning model.
