Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dinamika pengambilan keputusan remaja yang diasuh secara otoriter. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus jenis kasus tunggal, pada remaja berusia 17 tahun yang berdomisili di Banda Aceh. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat pengaruh pengasuhan otoriter terhadap pengambilan keputusan subjek yang ditunjukkan dengan adanya tuntutan dan keterlibatan orangtua dalam proses pengambilan keputusan namun subjek tidak merasa terbebani berusaha memikirkan makna positif dari tuntutan yang diterima. Pengambilan keputusannya didasarkan pada proses evaluasi, penilaian dan penyaringan. Dua aspek dalam memutuskan terdiri atas isi dan tujuan dari keputusan yang akan diambil, yaitu apa yang dikehendaki telah dirumuskan dan adanya tujuan akhir yang harus dicapai. Kata kunci: Pengambilan keputusan, pola asuh otoriter, remaja  ABSTRACTThe ability to make decisions is important for teens considering this age is still unstable and vulnerable, but authoritarian parenting can have an impact on teenage decision making patterns. This study aims to determine the dynamics of adolescents decision-making who are cared for authoritarian pattern. This research uses qualitative approach single case study, of 17 year old teenager who live in Banda Aceh. The results show that there is an effect of authoritarian parenting on the subject decision making which is indicated by the demands and involvement of the parents in the decision-making process but the subject does not feel overwhelmed trying to think of the positive meaning of the demands received. Decision-making is based on evaluation, assessment and screening processes.
