  • Abstract.The purpose of this research is to know the effect of using STAD (student team-achievement divisions) model with practicum method on student learning activity achievement. This research was conducted using a quasi-experimental design. The samplesof this research is the eleventh grade of IPA-1 as the experiment class and the eleventh grade of IPA-4 as the control group. This research was conducted in the second semester of 2011/2012 academic year. The analysis of students activity was using t-test, while the analysis of student achievement was using covariance (ANAKOVA). The result of this research showed that all the activity indicators was active. Using STAD (student team-achievement divisions) model with practicum method the student to participate actively. STAD model with practicum method can improve the students achievement, white the score pre-test 29, 48 to 80, 85 for the post-test.
