  • This study aims to predict the intention to elect a presidential candidate in 2019. The research variables used are candidate images, information from social media, attitudes toward choosing candidates, and intention to choose candidates. The respondents of this study were young voters who would take part in the presidential election for the first time in 2019. The research sample will include 250 students from a private university. The questionnaire will be distributed with a purposive sampling design, namely the criteria for research respondents are those who will take part in the presidential election for the first time in 2019. The questionnaire will be tested before being distributed to actual respondents. The data will then be processed to determine the reliability and validity of each indicator before testing the hypothesis. Hypotheses testing will apply structural equation modeling.
