  • The purpose of this research is to know the influence of ownership concentration on dividend yield of Indonesian public firms excluded banking, finance, and securities companies. The data which have been used are the secondary data which were collected from JSX's Reference Center and Government Printing Center. The data that were used in this research are divided into two parts such as financial statement and five biggest ownership from each company. The samples are dividend paying and non-dividend paying firms. For this research, 244 firms are selected from 315 firms in 2007. The firms with missing ownership data and uncomplete financial statement are dropped from the sample. The result of this research shown that the ownership concentration had positive and significant effects on dividend yield among Indonesian firms. Average current growth and profitability had insignificant effects on dividend yield. While, the leverage had significant and negative effects on dividend yield.
