- Standar keselamatan identifikasi identitas pasien mengharuskan rumah sakit mengembangkan atau meningkatkan ketelitian dalam identifikasi pasien. Maksud dan tujuan ketepatan identifikasi identitas pasien untuk melakukan dua kali pengecekan: pertama, untuk identifikasi pasien sebagai individu yang akan menerima pelayanan atau pengobatan; dan kedua, untuk kesesuaian pelayanan atau pengobatan terhadap individu tersebut. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui gambaran pelaksanaan identifikasi identitas pasien saat pemberian obat oleh perawat di ruang perawatan lantai tujuh Siloam Hospitals Makassar. Desain penelitian kuantitatif deskriptif dengan pendekatan cross sectional. Responden adalah semua perawat ruangan lantai tujuh SHMK dimana populasi sama dengan sampel (total sampling, N= 30). Pengumpulan data menggunakan lembar observasi yang dibuat sendiri oleh peneliti dan telah dilakukan uji valdiitas. Hasil penelitiaan menggambarkan lebih sedikit responden (40%) yang mengidentifikasi identitas nama pasien saat pemberian obat. Penelitian selanjutnya diharapkan dapat mengidentifikasi identitas pasien terhadap tindakan keperawatan yang lain / Safety standard for patient identification requires the hospital to develop or improve accuracy in identification of patient. Purpose and objectives of accuracy in identification of patient are to twice the check, that is: firstly, to identify a patient as an individual that will receive servicing or treatment; and secondly, to suitability of servicing or treatment for the individual. Purpose of this research is to find out the picture of implementation from identification of patient identity when distributing the medicine by nurse on the seventh floor Makassar Siloam Hospital’s ward. This research design is quantitative descriptive research with cross sectional approach. Respondents are the nurses from seventh floor Makassar Siloam Hospital’s ward, where the population are equal to the sample (total sampling, N= 30). Data collection uses observation sheet which is made by the research herself and has validity tested. This research results illustrate fewer respondents (40%) that identify the name’s identity when distributing the medicine. Further research is expected to identify identity of patient against other nursing or treatment measure.
